火栋，博士，经济管理学院副教授、博士生导师，国家知识产权局、深圳市科创委项目评审专家，深圳市海外高层次人才、南山区领航人才。本硕博分别毕业于哈工大、清华大学、东京大学。在校开设《技术创新管理》和《企业与地区经济调研》等课程，并与多领域专家学者合作讲授由联合国开发计划署（UNDP）开设的网络公开课程《可持续发展目标网络公开课程》。研究兴趣包括技术创新经济与管理、专利以及技术标准等，主持国家社会科学基金重大研究专项子课题 1 项、国家自然科学基金项目 2 项，参与其他国家级项目近 10 项，学术论文发表于《Research Policy》等国际顶尖学术期刊，曾获《Research Policy》审稿杰出贡献、省高校人文社会科学研究优秀成果等奖项。

此外，火栋博士积极参与政策制定和科技创业活动，并为政府与互联网领域的创业者提供咨询。经历涉及研究助理、研发项目主管和技术顾问等岗位，曾参与多项在计算机通信、路由协议、网络安全和电子出版等领域的技术研发和商业咨询项目，包括国家自然科学基金、863、973 等国家项目以及与爱立信、华为、中国移动和中国电信等企业的合作项目。

Dr. Huo works as an Associate Professor at School of Economics and Management, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. He received his Ph.D. degree at the University of Tokyo, and worked for the University of Tokyo, the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI), and Nanjing University prior to the current position. He has served to review research and grants for the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), and the Shenzhen Science, Technology and Innovation Commission (SZSTI), and was recognized as Overseas High-Caliber Personnel of Shenzhen. His lectures include Technology & Innovation Management, Firm and Economic Survey, and a MOOC course supported by the United Nation Development Program (UNDP). His research focuses on innovation, patent, and standard, and has been funded by the NSSFC and the NSFC. He has published articles in leading scholarly journals including Research Policy, and Industrial & Corporate Change, amongst others, and was awarded Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing by Research Policy and Excellent Achievement for Humanities and Social Sciences Research.

Besides, Dr. Huo has been active in policy-making and tech ventures. He consults for governments and entrepreneurs in Internet and other businesses. In addition, his prior experience covers research assistant, R&D project manager, and technological consultant in collaborative R&D projects with firms such as Ericsson, Huawei, China Mobile, and China Telecom, particularly in areas such as computer communications, Internet routing, network security, and digital publishing, etc.
